Clay, Henry:
(April 12,1777-June 29,1852) Henry Clay was a senator and house representative. He was the founder of the Whig party as well as a founder of the American Colonization Society. Known as the “Great Compromiser”, Clay was a part of the Missouri Compromise and the Compromise of 1850.
