Bacon, Nathaniel:

(c. 1640- October 26, 1676) Nathaniel Bacon was a rebel leader who lead the fight against other Virginian settlers who were trying to take land that belonged to Native Americans. He was the leader of what is known as Bacon’s Rebellion and lead 400-500 yeoman farmers and laborers, Native Americans, and free and enslaved blacks. He died from dysentery after he and others had been captured.
